Hello everyone I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer!
We have great news to announce – Nature’s Lovers Inc. has moved to a sunny state of California! We are very excited and hope to spread our products and passion for aromatherapy and natural living all over the west coast. At our new location, we will even offer workshops on aromatic lotions & bath salts making!
As probably most of you can imagine, moving can be extremely stressful and hectic. Especially when it involves moving home, business, pets and family across the country. At some point I felt like things were out of control, boxes everywhere, people packing and touching my stuff and my aromatherapy equipment, I was stressed and worried so much that I couldn’t even sleep at night. That’s when I turn to my little, but mighty helpers – organic essential oils.
Aromatherapy is well known to be a blessing when it comes to stress relief on many levels. It can help and ease any condition from overactive mind to anxiety and depression. Some essential oils like Spikenard and Frankincense were recognized in Biblical times as extremely effective calming and soothing remedies for nervous system. Spikenard was the essential oil, which Maria Magdalena used on Jesus’ feet before he was crucified to ease his pain and agony. I consider Spikenard to be a very special and mystical substance, because it helps to calm overactive mind and ground the soul. It has a strong and woodsy smell, which is similar to Valerian root.
Ylang-Ylang is my other great ally when making calming and relaxing blends for my clients. It has soothing properties and can be beneficial for people who experience high blood pressure, rapid heartbeat and severe anxiety or adrenal imbalance. Should I mention that it also helps to stimulate libido?! Well, there you have it – a multi-spectrum natural remedy that smells like an expensive perfume!
Any kind of pine oils like Spruce, Cypress or Silver Fir, help to give a feeling of encouragement and support to anyone who experiences fear, depression and loneliness. I personally love using Spruce oil in my diffuser, especially when I feel a little drained and tired.
Here at Nature’s Lovers we offer two wonderful blends, which proved to be very helpful with our clients. Joyful Spirit – it will help to lift up your spirits with its’ citrus notes. And Relaxing Breath – this blend will help you to relax and calm down your adrenals with help of wonderful essential oils like Lavender, Neroli and Melissa.
The thing is that list of essential oils is too long, when it comes to nervous and emotional problems and I would have to write 20 articles like this one to cover at least half of it. Moreover, every case of emotional imbalance is different and personal. Therefore, any aroma-therapeutic blend is best to work when if it’s created individually. And this is exactly what we offer to anyone who is willing to try aromatherapy for emotional issues. We will even offer you a free assessment in order to create an appropriate blend for your needs.
We would love to hear from you!

The month of May seems to be like a “Stork News” month Two of my good friends announced that they are expecting and few other ladies I know just had their bundles of joy It’s always wonderful and exciting, when a new, innocent and beautiful life comes into this world. Babies bring us so much joy, fun and happiness…I’m sure every new mom would agree with me on that. A little less fun though, when it comes to stretch marks, sleepless nights, postpartum blues, raging hormones and out-of-shape waste line.
So how can Aromatherapy help? It surely can give a lot of support to tired and stretched skin as well as help to lift up the blues and assist in balancing those hormonal levels.
Let’s take stretch marks for example. First of all it’s crucially important to take care of your breasts, belly and hips skin as soon as you find out that you are expecting. Skin has to be moisturized and nourished at least once a day, twice is always better. When we were testing our Stretch Marks product we asked rapidly growing teenagers to help us out. Their skin also stretches badly during the times of rapid growth. During this trial period they were using our unique blend called Stretch Marks Relief blend. This blend contains healing and moisturizing essential oils of Rosehips, Mandarin, Helichrysum italicum and Geranim. To this blend we also add two nature’s “miracle workers” Borage oil and Vitamin E, those natural ingredients are absolutely essential when it comes to increasing skin elasticity. The great value of Borage oil is that it is the richest known source of an essential fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid. Within 60 days our teenage helpers reported less visibility of old stretch marks and hardly noticed appearance of new ones. We considered this a success and started production of Stretch Marks Relief blend, which is now available for purchase in Nuts & Berries Store in Atlanta and of course from our website.
To cut a long story short – postpartum blues happens when a woman’s body is experiencing a powerful change in hormonal levels after the baby is born. Feeling moody, left out, empty and unhappy are very common feeling during this postpartum period. It’s important for any mother who just had a baby to get an adequate support from her partner and hopefully some help around the house and taking care of the baby for the first couple of weeks. However, it is also important to support the body that was supporting another life for 9 month, with appropriate nutrition and supplements.
I heard excellent reviews about supplementing Omega 3 and Evening Primrose Oil, but naturally always consult with your doctor before taking any supplements. When it comes to Aromatherapy, I have seen excellent results with new moms who tried essential oils for hormonal balance and lifting up their moods. Essential Oils of Orange, Grapefruit and Geranium are probably the best to lift up the spirits and Geranium is excellent for hormonal balance. Our Joyful Spirit blend is made with organic essential oils, which are safe for new mom. However, we offer a FREE consultation for ANY new mom with a purchase of any custom made blend for postpartum blues. Just email us and we are here to help and make you smile again

Summer is almost here! Actually in Atlanta, GA between 12pm-5pm it feels like all you want to do is deep in the pool and stay away from sun, because it gets HOT! That’s the season when we girls, wear our fancy dresses, blouses and short skirts. It’s time to show some skin, ladies! So let’s make it look good, healthy, glowing and ready for the beach!
So, which essential oils and natural oils or butters are good for our skin? Momma Nature offers us plenty of its’ valuable gifts to use for natural skin care.
Let’s take the most talked about problem when it comes to bikini season – cellulite. Yep…very sensitive subject, but with a little persistence and patience, essential oils like Grapefruit, Lemon, Cedar Wood, Peppermint, Palmarosa and Cypress can really help to reduce that orange peel appearance. All we got to do is use those in a right blend, correct proportions and invest $5- $7 in wooden massaging brush available even on Amazon. Massaging problem areas with anti-cellulite aromatherapeutic blend two to three times daily should show results within 4-6 weeks. It will save you big bucks compare to expensive anti-cellulite treatments in Spas, plus you will get to exercise your triceps . It’s important to remember that anti-cellulite blend is best when made by a qualified aromatherapist, because being careless with photosynthesizing oils like grapefruit and lemon may cause a serious burn if skin will be exposed to direct sunlight. It’s also important to have this blend done with the right base oil and aromatherapist will definitely use the right oil for your skin type. So how do these oils help to reduce cellulite? Some of them help the detoxification process deeper in the skin layers and others help to increase blood circulation and smooth the top layer of the skin. By all means you need to help your body to flush those toxins by drinking more water, significantly reducing salt, coffee and processed foods in your diet and hitting the gym whenever possible. After 4 weeks regimen on anti-cellulite program you should notice visible difference in appearance of your skin.
Another great thing to do is to have a glowing touch to your skin, especially when it’s sun-kissed after few hours on the beach. Myself I enjoy it very much, just look at the Hollywood ladies when they hit red carpet, their legs look sensational. So our Nature’s Lovers Inc. team came up with a concept of making Glowing Skin Butter. It’s made of organic and pure natural oils of Coconut, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and irreplaceable vitamin E, which slows down aging and helps to fight free radicals. We also add essential oils like Rosewood, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang for a luxury touch. It smells great, moisturizes and gives your skin a healthy glow. Naturally, men could use it as well, especially if they want to highlight their six-pack abs
Another big concern of mine is sun damage. Always have been, because studying holistic medicine for 4 years and spending 10 years on Mediterranean island taught me that sun is good in small doses. My advice is to always apply sunscreen when you are going to the beach, tropical vacation or just know that you will be walking in the sun for few hours. Once you are back to the shelter of your home or a hotel take a shower and apply something soothing to the skin. There are few good natural after-sun lotions, but you can make one at home or simply order one from our website. We make our “After Sun Soothing Gel” with 99% organic Aloe Vera gel adding in it cooling and soothing essential oils of Roman Chamomile, French Lavender and Tea Tree. It really helps to sooth the skin and relieves discomfort of sunburn within 10-15 minutes. I keep a jar of this product in my fridge, because it even helps with kitchen burns.
In general, the best thing you can do for your skin is to use only natural and organic products, which do not contain harmful chemicals, parabens and artificial preservatives.
We wish you a beautiful summer season!

“Beautiful hair!” Isn’t it one of the best compliments women are thrilled to get?! I know I am. If my hair doesn’t look good I feel like I want to hide in a dent, that’s why I constantly look for new natural hair products to strengthen, nourish and rejuvenate my hair. Naturally, I never EVER use commercial hair products like awful, cheap and I’ll dare to say poisonous Wash&Go or Pantene etc., because those are loaded with chemicals, harsh preservatives and have been tested on animals, some of the ingredients in those products may even be possible human carcinogens and hormonal disruptors.
As for hair dyes, I also try to go as natural as possible and ask my hair stylist to use Aveda products, but even semi-natural dyes can be harsh on the hair. In addition to that chlorinated water, hot irons and sun damage are other unpleasant factors in making our hair look dull and lifeless. Scalp problems and weak hair growth are other concerns, I noticed, many men and women are dealing with. So, is it possible to take care of all that naturally? Yes, it is ☺. All you need is patience, open mind, being consistent and desire to try new things.
I really enjoy using pure essential oils and base organic oils to keep my hair and scalp in good condition. To put it simply, in order to maintain healthy scalp and hair, we need to stimulate blood flow to scalp to deliver all the vital nutrients needed for healthy skin and hair growth. All we need is to add 2-3 drops of proper essential oils into our hair products shampoo, conditioner or mask at least 2 times weekly. When I say “add” I mean adding 2-3 drops every time you will be washing or treating your hair, not to the bottle of any of those products.
There are three most common types of hair: normal, dry and oily.
- Normal hair is usually shiny, easily managed and healthy, but it still needs care and maintenance. Best essential oils for normal hair would be lavender, geranium and rosemary. Geranium and lavender will help to balance and clarify any build up, while rosemary will stimulate the blood supply toward the scalp and nourish the hair.
- Dry hair usually happen when not enough sebum (oil) is produced by the sebaceous glands to supply necessary lubrication. When it happens, hair may become brittle, weak and damaged. Oils that come to the rescue in this case are: sandalwood, patchouli, geranium, carrot and either cypress or rosemary. Sandalwood, carrot and patchouli will help to add moisture and shine. Geranium always works as a balancing agent. Cypress and rosemary will stimulate that blood flow I mentioned earlier.
- Oily or Greasy hair are the opposite of the dry, it is common when sebaceous glands produce too much oil. Essential oils like Himalayan cedar wood, lemon, thyme and lemon eucalyptus will help to deal with this problem. If I had to pick three to add to my shampoo, conditioner or hair mask I would pick cedar wood, lemon and thyme, simply because I tried it on my family and myself and it produced great results.
- There also another issue – weak hair, which keep falling and becoming weaker, I know many women who simply panic when it happens. Well, I’d be one of them, but I managed to keep my hair strong and healthy after I consistently used oils like rosemary, cedar wood and cypress in my hair mask and overnight hair strengthening spray.
Here is the recipe:
1 egg yolk,
1 tsp honey
1 tsp olive oil or 1 tbsp jojoba oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
4 drops rosemary essential oil
3 drops of cedar wood oil
3 drops of cypress
Mix everything well, apply to hair, wrap it in a plastic wrap, then in a bath towel and keep for at least 1 hour. Wash thoroughly and let it dry. Discard any leftover. If you have high-blood pressure, seizures, are or may be pregnant please reduce all those 3 essential oils to 1-2 drops of each.
Nature’s Lovers Inc. produces hair strengthening and nourishing spray I mentioned above. It is based on organic jojoba oil with addition of all the essential oils to make your hair look, healthy, shiny, live and beautiful.

There is an interesting tradition in Ukraine (which is my birth country). The tradition was to see off the “old year” by asking it to take away all your negative experiences and emotions; and then to greet a New Year with lots of positive energy, love, forgiveness and many good wishes. Few times, on 31st of December, I witnessed my grandmother burning sage 1-2 hours before the clock would strike 12 and saying a short prayer asking all negative to leave our home and all positive to replace it. It was very comforting to me and New Year’s Eve always seemed something magical to me. Actually I do believe that this time of the year is indeed magical! Just look at the recent news – fortunate outcome of Amsterdam-Detroit flight and a little girl Natalie Flores being saved 7 hours after she’s been kidnapped in Phoenix.
Naturally, I will be doing my “old-new year” blessing ritual with essential oils, to be exact with my Aura Spray Mist. There are 3 essential oils, which mean a big deal to me because of their positive energy attracting and negative energy clearing properties.
One of those oils is Frankincense (Boswellia Carteri). Anyone who ever visited Russian or Greek Orthodox Church will recognize the scent of Frankincense. This essential oil has unique rejuvenating and therapeutic properties; it is an excellent anti-aging ingredient in skincare products. Besides being a strong anti-viral, Frankincense also helps to deepen meditative state of mind, by bringing more oxygen into the lungs thus encouraging sense of peace, serenity and balance. Churches have been using Frankincense since forever to intensify the prayer’s effect and to disinfect the air from viruses as well as to get rid of evil energies. Jewish valued this essential oil because it was a gift brought to baby Jesus after his birth. If you smell Frankincense once, you will always be able to tell it apart from other essential oils, because of its’ pungent, earthy and sweet scent.
My next choice is White Sage (Salvia Apiana), which has been known as evil spirits banisher in Native Indian culture. This essential oil has amazing purifying and area cleansing properties. Having a misting spray with this powerful oil would be excellent for home, office or spiritual establishment. The energy of White Sage is simply miraculous and very powerful. It helped my husband to deal with unpleasant situation at work, which eventually was resolved in his favor. I’m sure all “old-year” negativity will leave your home in a hurry after you will spray some of the white sage around. At Natures Lovers, we carry one of the finest White Sage essential oil from a very reputable Canadian manufacturer.
And the third a must-have essential oil I include in my purifying-clarifying positive mist is Angelica Root (Angelica archangelica). Just by reading the name of the oil anyone can realize it has an affinity with angels and angels are protection, enlightenment and peace. Angelica essential oil may also be helpful to let go of negative feelings from upsetting events, because it is very grounding and emotionally calming. Ancient Egyptians found Angelica to be valuable for their therapeutic and spiritually-protective body balms.
Our Aura Spray Mist contains all the oils I mentioned above along with other few essential oils that have amazing calming and uplifting properties.
Have a wonderful, healthy, peaceful and prosperous New 2010 Year!

When I was a kid, I remember that I felt the feeling of Christmas as soon as we would bring live Christmas tree into the house, actually it was the smell of Christmas tree that gave me that comforting and festive feeling. Whether it was blue spruce, silver fur or just simple pine tree, it filled our house with its’ soothing and pungent smell almost instantly. For the last few years, I have been a big supporter of saving trees and not hurting any living plants, so of course every Christmas, my family keeps using the same artificial tree. It saves money, saves trees and just makes me feel like I’m doing something good for the planet.
Nevertheless, I still want the scent of Christmas in my home. And that’s when I turn to my friends – essential oils, all over again. You won’t believe how easy it is to have your home smelling like a pine forest with few drops of various essential oils from pine family. Should you want to spice it up you can also add other scents like Cinnamon and Clove. So here are few holiday essential oils that will make your guests wonder and ask: “What smells so heavenly?”
Black Spruce (Picea Mariana) essential oil is definitely my favorite one. It has very warm and fresh scent. Spruce essential oil is also very calming to the nervous system and helps to support respiratory system. So there you have it, pleasure and health in the bottle.
Silver Fir or Fir Needle (Abies siberica) is another very delicate essential oil. It has very pleasant, earthy and woodsy scent. Most of Fir Needle essential oil comes from beautiful and freezing Siberia in Russia. This essential oil will add a fresh and strong note into any essential oil blend, especially those blends that are intended for diffusing. Fir oil also has great therapeutic properties, which may help to ease muscle and joint pain as well as have a mild antiviral effect and help with flu and stuffed nose.
Another one of my favorites is Pine (Pinus sylvestris) essential oil. I always add it into my Christmas diffusing blends along with Spruce and Fir Needle. It really brings together the whole “pine forest” smell into the room. Its’ aroma always gives me a cozy, supportive and calm feeling, whenever I feel rundown, weak and tired. I guess it comes from the whole energy of the pine tree, which is big, tall and mighty. Whenever I hug a pine tree I feel like I’m getting some of the forest wisdom from it’s mighty trunk. Pine essential oil also serves as mild analgesic, antiseptic, antiviral and antifungal.
All these oils will work great in blend together to make your home smell like Christmas and hopefully protect you from viruses and colds. Here at Nature’s Lovers we add couple of other essential oils into our Christmas blends to highlight and lighten the strong notes of these amazing essential oils of the forest.
We wish you a very Merry and Aromatic Christmas!

Beautiful golden, but rainy autumn season is here, unless you live in Caribbean islands with plenty of palm trees and daily sunshine … When it comes to Atlanta weather, it’s raining almost 15 days out of 30, some days it’s just cloudy. So I hear from friends and clients that it affects their moods. Naturally, when we don’t get enough of sunlight our nervous system and emotions get a little compromised. And naturally, I would look for a solution in my Magical Aromatherapeutic Chest to uplift our mood and spirits.
My first essential oil choice when I’m down and blue would be Pink Grapefruit oil (Citrus Racemosa). It’s fresh, tart citrus smell uplifts, cheers up and soothes nervous system absolutely beautifully. Grapefruit Pink essential oil is considered to be a spiritual up-lifter, as well as liver detoxifier and helps to relief tired muscles. It is also a very good mind stimulating oil.
Another beautiful scent to uplift our spirits would be essential oil of Sweet Orange (Citrus Sinensis). Sweet Orange Essential Oil has great and multiple properties. It acts as antidepressant, antiseptic and even aphrodisiac. It helps to stimulate digestive and nervous systems. Also it is known to help to fight common colds and stress.
Of course in order to create a healing blend, it is important to remember that every essential oil works better in synergy with couple of other essential oils and one of my most favorite oils to blend into uplifting and anti-depressant blends is essential oil of Lemon Basil (Ocimum Citriodorum). This plant produces good yields of beautiful small leaves. Leaves are very similar to regular basil, but have a lemon flavor and a pungently sweet and citrus scent. Every time I smell this oil, it gives me a feeling of peace and joy. It also helps with mental concentration and promotes sense of well being.
And last but not least, I absolutely love Bergamot essential oil (Citrus bergamia), which has delicate and uplifting scent. It carries all the healing forces of the plant. Bergamot essential oil is one of the most powerful neuro-tonics. It is great remedy against depression caused by tiredness, fears and tensions. Massage performed with essential oil of Bergamot may help to ease irritability and anger. This amazing oil has been helping many of our clients to relax and get rid of many unpleasant emotions and feelings.
At Nature’s Lovers we carry an excellent blend, which has great reviews and is very popular among our clients. It’s called Joyful Spirit it may definitely help you to feel much less of a blues during this fall and winter seasons. If you’d like a sample, just email us and we will ship it anywhere for free in continental US.
Happy November to Everyone!

Aromatherapy for Mental Focus
About a week ago, we had a fabulous Aroma Party at my house. It was a wonderful crowd of ladies who were all about getting familiar with essential oils and aromatherapy. During our aromatic evening, few ladies asked me about essentials oils that may help with mental focus, concentration and memory issues. I totally understand their concern, because so many of us are busy with kids, at work and at home that sometimes we forget what is our home phone number ☺ Some of us are eternal students who study and deal with tests and exams on monthly basis, that’s exactly when we surely need memory and creativity boost. There are few magical essential oils that may help with concentration and focus on daily basis. My daughter, who is a middle school student and a young actress, is using a blend of essential oils for concentration and memory stimulation every time she has a test or an audition, and she swears it keeps her focused alert and calm at the same time.
During my years of aromatherapy practice I found that these four essential oils are probably the most important for mind stimulation. Clary Sage, Rosemary, Peppermint and Bergamot.
Clary Sage has an amazing spicy-sweet aroma with a hint of herbal note in it. It enhances creativity and helps to reduce anxiety before exams, tests and stage or on-camera performances. I would recommend using this oil in blends for actors, models, writers, web and clothes designers, photographers, artists and students who are under a lot pressure to perform to their finest ability.
Rosemary is another stimulating essential oil it has woodsy and earthy scent, which blends very well with other essential oils. Rosemary helps to stimulate memory and helps to keep focused on assignments. It works great in synergy with Peppermint and Clary Sage.
Peppermint is probably the most important essential oils for any brain-stimulating blend. Peppermint enhances oxygen supply to our cells, therefore carries oxygen to our brain, and we know how important oxygen is, in order for us to function properly. This oil brings a refreshing feeling to anyone who feels tired, exhausted and drained. It helps me a lot when I need to keep myself awake while studying organic chemistry and molecular biology ☺
Bergamot is one of my favorite essential oils with its fruity, warm and refreshing scent. It helps to uplift and bring a feeling of inspiration to everyone who needs a little help while working or studying. Bergamot is especially well received by kids and can be easily diffused at home, in the office or on the movie set to create a relaxing and uplifting atmosphere. I wish I could carry this massage to all movie directors; it would make their life much easier ☺
At Natures Lovers we create custom mind-stimulating blends for students, actors, artists and everyone who needs help with mental focus. We examine every aspect of our clients’ needs and make a blend that is easy to use.
We are now on Article Dashboard
Stay focus, relaxed and have a beautiful fall season ☺

Flu Prevention with Essential Oils
Every time I read or hear about flu fatalities, it makes me wonder, mainly because whenever my family or I get a flu, we manage to overcome it quite quick using ONLY natural remedies. Now the world is fighting swine flu and its’ warnings are all over the news, Internet and airport posters. Since my dear husband travels quite frequently, I had to figure out a way to prevent any flu virus getting near him. So, I made a preventive kit to use anytime he is about to get on the airplane. This kit contains Antiviral Essential Oil Blend that Natures Lovers produces, Vitamin C and Zinc capsules and homeopathic remedy. It works every time and he hasn’t brought any viruses back home since
In case you already caught the nasty virus, the experience can be quite unpleasant and exhausting. In this case, my suggestion is to get plenty of rest, drink enough warm liquids, stay away from sugar (which shuts down our immune system) and ask your loved one to make you a bowl of chicken soup!
Another very effective tool is again to use Essential Oils of Eucalyptus, Lavender, Thyme, Myrtle, Pine and Lemon. These amazing oils help with nasal congestion, headaches, fever and cough. Essential Oils of Lavender, Thyme and Lemon promote production of white blood cells, which are essential to our immune system for fighting viruses and bacteria. Oils of Eucalyptus, Myrtle, Frankincense, Pine and Ravensara will help with nasal congestion and mucus. Usually, we pick up a virus in crowed places places like malls where ventilation is very poor; a good prevention tool would be to drop few drops of antiviral Essential Oils on a tissue and carry it with you throughout your busy day inhaling the vapors before stepping into those crowded places.
Essential Oils rarely cause allergic reactions, unless applied undiluted directly to the skin or mucus membranes, therefore, it’s always better to consult with qualified aromatherapist about what oils to use.
Oils of Eucalyptus, Lavender, Myrtle and Frankincense are usually safe to be used in children (over 2 y.o) and elderly. For kids smaller amount of drops for inhalation should be used. For example – adults should use 5-7 drops of essential oil for inhalation and kids should use 2-3 drops.
At Nature’s Lovers we carry special Immune Support Organic Essential Oil Blend to assist your immune system with Flu prevention.
Nevertheless, if your flu symptoms get worse go visit your doctor
With aromatic blessings,
Vicky
